eye examinations

There is much more to your eye examination at our practice than finding out if you need spectacles or contact lenses. We carry out a range of tests to assess the health of your eyes. As everyone's eyes are different we tailor the eye examination to individual circumstances. We will discuss any problems you may have with your eyes and general health and to assess your visual needs we will discuss your work and leisure activities.

Specific tests include refraction, intraocular pressure, visual field test, opthalmoscopy, digital retinal photography and colour vision assessment. The tests can pick up glaucoma, diabeties, mocular degeneration, cateracts, dry eye, conjunctivitis, myopia, astigimatism and hypermetropia.

All our examinations are undertaken with the latest technology. The test are simple but will give us detailed information on the condition of your eyes.

We keep records of all our patients and can qucikly check for any changes in the conditions of your eyes.

If you currnetly wear glasses or contact lenses you will need to bring along existing prescriptions and details of any medication.
